D Magazine (Italy)
|
Has anyone worked with D Magazine which is a magazine put out by one of Italy’s main newspapers? I’ve had trouble with site access and translations so I don’t really know their work but they’re interested in some of my images and I’d like to be a little more informed.

It’s a very good magazine. One of the best in photography terms. every photographer in Italy would love to be published in it. They are the weekly magazine of La Repubblica (2nd biggest newspaper in Italy). It’s very good for you!
All the best

Giovanni,
Thanks for the input, it’s much appreciated. I’ve also queried on Editorial Photo but haven’t heard much. Do you know how the magazine’s rates and typical usage requests are?

Generally is one time usage only. Normal rates for stories in Italy for this level of magazine is 2500 Euros. Doesn’t depend on pages. They buy the story and they publish it. But then it depends on the importance of the story and if you already published it or not. If it’s a single picture then I don’t know. And they’ll probably put an imbargo in Italy of about 3 months but that’s not sure.

Again, Giovanni, thanks for the info! We’ll see how it goes.

I know that a single picture is usually payed about 120 euro…although I am sure that some agencies like grazia neri contract for more than that…market power bullshit. giovanni is right, for feature stories they are very caring, there is a very competent team for abroad services, for single pictures they are pretty much like everyone else

I confirm for the single image: 120 euro
