D40 w/ SB600

My apologies in advance, since this may sound rather silly. Recently, I have been using an SB600 with a D40 quite often. I worry that the small size of the body won’t be able to properly support the flash, and will eventually crack or break the plastic.

I am just wondering if anyone out there is doing the same thing, and what are your experience?

Cheers!

Why not just use the flash on an extension cord Erik?

John,

I have actually done that to position the flash off the camera. It can get awkward when you are going around a lot, or in situations when you need the other hand (e.g. work on a zoom lens).
