I am a Portland, Oregon-based editorial and commercial photographer specializing in capturing compelling and authentic images that tell stories and evoke emotions. Hardly ever in a studio, I prefer working on location. With over twenty years of experience behind the camera, I still look forward to each and every assignment, big or small.
In the past, I have traveled, mostly solo, for assignments in Europe, Asia, South Africa, Australia, South America and North America. One of my most memorable assignments was in 2005 when I volunteered my services to a NGO for a three-week documentary shoot in India and Thailand to capture the reconstruction efforts of communities impacted by the Asian tsunami of 2004.
More recently, I have concentrated my efforts closer to home where I spend my time working for commercial clients such as Nike, and for editorial clients like Portland Monthly and Portland Spaces.
My goal is always to keep my shoots fun and relaxed to help keep the client, crew, and the talent at ease. No matter what the subject matter is, or whether I am working solo or with a crew, my aim is to deliver the best in both service and final product to all of my clients.
