Daniele - 32 years old friend and collegue - died today at the Vatican
Ciao Lightstalkers,
this morning, inside the Vatican Synod hall, Daniele Colarieti,a friend,a 32 years old collegue, had a heart attack.
Daniele died there, in the place we had always met, with his cameras and his lenses on him, an infarct broke his big and sweet heart, like a thunder that breaks a oak.
Many of the collegues who were there for work didn’t realise what was going on, me and another couple of photographers, with some guys of the Pope’s security, tried to do everything we could to make him breath again, but it was useless..
I don’t now why am I writing this to the world, Vatican photographers circle is so small and I guess nobody knew Daniele, or maybe some of you saw some photos done by him, but I’d like to remember this healthy and funny friend, who was always happy to see other smiles to reply with his own smile, even in the most formal situations.
Non c’è nulla da ridere oggi, Daniè, qua ci mancherai

there’s an old cowboy saying, to die with your boots on….that at least he was surrounded by the things which carried his life in a place of which he lived, it must at least be some comfort….

The age of 32 is still too soon to die, but a man in his 30s can die of a heart attack.
I hope that young men and women on this forum will take care of their health before it is too late. Too much drinking and too much smoking will ruin your health.
I hope that Daniele himself will rest in peace and his family will take comfort in the way he died.
However, the rest of us should not become suicidal and reckless.

My sincere condolescences for the loss of your friend. An infarction of the heart at 32 is just way too young. Way to young to move on. So sorry.

What is so dangerous is that young men in their 30s look so healthy, and yet they sometimes have a heart ready to burst.
