Here are a set of photos made by a Russian photographer who went in with the Russian forces to Ossetia. A view from the other side as it were. The editor appears to have not done much editing and some of the images are a bit graphic, however these photos add another dimension to the images coming out so far. The intro to the site is in English, but comments in Russian.
“We present a set of photographs from the war in South Osetia made by Arkady Babchenko, one of the editors of Russian war veterans Almanac â€Art of War†(http://www.navoine.ru/). Arkady went with Russian troops on the route Vladikavkaz – Tshinval – Zemo Nikozi – Gori and participated as journalist in the battle for Georgian village Zemo Nikozi. Photographs were prepared and placed in the Internet by Chief Editor of the Almanac Ilya Plekhanov."
