About
Dave Getzschman (pronounced GETCH-man) is a San Francisco-based photographer providing fresh, compelling imagery for clients spanning the editorial, corporate and commercial markets. His iconic image of presidential candidate Barack Obama on the eve of the November ‘06 congressional election was recently honored by Pictures of the Year International, the premier annual showcase of the world’s finest photojournalism. In 2004, his work as a staff member of the Ventura County Star earned him runner-up California Press Photographer of the Year. Credits include Time, Newsweek, Maxim, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, The San Francisco Chronicle and MSNBC’s Week in Pictures. Getzschman’s vision is regularly recognized with honors from national, state and local press associations.
