David Wilton spent the better part of a decade on the US/Mexico border in El Paso and Juarez. He was most fond of the extreme weather of the region in the form of wind and sand storms. He spent considerable time in the cantinas of Juarez (before the current drug wars) cavorting with drunks and gender-ambiguous people of all ages. He later became a lawyer and now practices criminal defense in San Francisco, California.
