Deirdre Brennan is a Dublin based photographer who lived and worked in New York for over a decade and returned to live in Dublin in 2008. On contract with The New York Times since 2000, her work has been published in titles such as The New York Times, The New York Times Magazine, Newsweek, Le Monde, The Wall Street Journal, Stern, Marie Claire, American Photography, The London Sunday Times, Double Take, Mother Jones, Panorama, Elpais and The Smithsonian.
Deirdre was recently named " 10 Women Who Wrote History With Their Cameras" as part of Visa pour L’image, The International Photojournalism Festival’s 20th Anniversary in 2008.
Nominations include The World Press Photo Master Class, The New York Photo Awards and PDN “30 Under 30”.
Deirdre has been a contributor to The Redux Picture agency since 2002.
