The Documentary Filmmakers Group (DFG) is the national organisation working to promote documentary filmmaking talent and innovation in the UK. DFG is the leading provider of industry-focussed training for established and aspiring documentary filmmakers. It is the only training provider directly linked to a production company, the award-winning Mosaic Films.

News features are short documentaries in themselves, they are one of the most rewarding ways to cover a story in the news environment and can sometimes even set the international news agenda. With opportunities for Independent filmmakers such as “Newsnight”, Channel 4 News’ Indy Fund, the BBC’s “This World” and the launch of Al Jeezera International, there are more and more opportunities for independent documentary filmmakers to turn to news and current affairs.

Teresa has been Executive and Development Producer for Guardian Films, the Channel 4 News Independents’ Fund, Senior Filmmaker/Producer for Channel 4 News and has produced and directed a wide variety of independent documentaries.
