Diane Epstein is a fine art and travel photographer specializing in impressionistic and mood images of Italy. She also facilitates individuals & groups with their creative pursuits, offering photo/culinary adventures & life coaching via phone & in Rome.
Living in Rome since 1995, Diane guides people through Ancient Rome, the outdoor markets, piazzas, hidden treasures, and monuments as she helps each photographer find their visual voice. She brings to life the culture of food, architecture, art, and people, recording the experiences of those who have chosen to taste, feel, touch and see Rome “As the Romans Do”. She was featured on the Oprah Winfrey Show on the segment, “Choosing Your Life.”
Her photographs have been described as impressionistic, with a unique textured and sensual feel reminiscent of the frescos she has lived amongst in the ancient Eternal City. Her black and white and sepia photos are known for their moody, other worldliness, where time stands still, capturing the beauty and depth of the moment.
Diane leads photo excursions in Rome and nearby hill towns where she takes visitors to the outdoor markets, piazzas, and hidden treasures, bringing to life the ancient beauty, incredible food and culture of Italy. She is available to do private journeys and photo shoots in other photogenic places around the world. Diane has been featured in national and international magazines and TV, including Redbook, Bon Appetit, and the Oprah Winfrey show.
Diane has had several solo photography shows in Italy, including exhibits at the Belgian Ambassador’s Residence, John Cabot University and Il Chiostro Boccarini in Amelia,Umbria; and at La Bottega del Caffe’. She has participated in art exhibitions at the American Academy in Rome, and at Al Vicario 31, next to the Italian Parliament , as well as installations for corporate collectors around the world. She has won awards for her photography and recently did a photo shoot for Canada for the Venice Biennale. Diane is presently working on several photo projects including an exhibition in October, 2009 with the American Embassy in Rome and an installation with Rome Luxury Suites.
