I just graduated in May from the University of Montana with a degree in photojournalism and an almost-finished minor in Native American Studies. At school, I was the design editor of the Montana Kaimin, the college newspaper. I was raised in Kirkland, a suburb of Seattle, so I am glad to be back in the state of Washington doing an internship at the Wenatchee World, a daily in north central Washington, where I am taking photos and designing.
In the fall, I will most likely travel, basing myself out of my parents house in Austin, Texas. Some time in the next year, I’m thinking of heading back to school to finish up my minor and maybe even get a graduate degree in something, but for now I’m just experiencing what journalism has to offer, testing the waters.
The majority of these photos are ones that have been published while doing my internship in and around the Wenatchee Valley, with the rest of my portfolio to come soon.
