I dropped my Nikon F4s a year or so ago and the "Dp-20" view-finder cracked. When I say cracked I really mean that the plastic on the top cracked and something inside loosened up. The camera works fine and after a little jiggling and shaking the eyepiece seems normal (except for the broken plastic). I’ve been looking on ebay for the past year and every-time I find what I’m looking for someone buys it out from under me. Now I realize I can bid high and probably get what I’m looking for, but I’m buying this mostly for sentimental reasons as (A.) the camera still works fine, (B.) I hardly ever use it and (C.) the whole body sells for like $350 now. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place that I could look online to purchase just the eyepiece for a reasonable price or knew if I bring it to a Nikon repair shop whether they can replace ,say, just the broken parts "cheaply". I really love this camera so I would like it to rest peacefully… now that it’s been replaced by its digital rivals.
Thanks,
Mark
