DONNA FERRATO-PHILIP JONES GRIFFITHS WORKSHOP.......
thanks for the info… especially about her website… I didn’t know she had website already. It is good to see her late work but no great photographs from “Living with the Enemy” which is one of the books in my library…
I hope photographers who are around can make this workshop…
This is also gonna be bump from me :))))
cheers, A

Being a big fan and having a chance to get to know Donna
as a customer of mine @ K&M, I urge anyone who has an opportunity to take this workshop to do so. PJG as
well; WOW!
I wish I could take part but a week away for me is not possible.
What they will cover is essential to anyone who wants
their passion & soul to show in their photography . And from 2 of the best that are out there.

Andy—thanks for the “bump” – I’d missed this somehow. I hope this generates some interest since it sounds like a good one.

Donna’s personal website is great really gives a perspective of some of her newer work. She will be launching another website in the next couple of weeks that is entirely dedicated to Domestic Abuse Awareness (abuseaware.com). Which includes galleries from “Living with the Enemy” and other more extended stories of families and individuals who have encountered abuse in their lives. The aim of the website is also to be a platform and resource for Donna’s non-profit Domestic Abuse Awareness ( DAA, Inc.) The website has links to a number of state and national resources, news on up to date initiatives surrounding the issue, blogs, upcoming events and campaigns, information about how to bring the “Living with the Enemy” exhibition to your community, how to find help, a trailer produced by MediaStorm of the upcoming film about the children in the stories of “Living Without the Enemy”.
On another note, I have been working with Donna to help plan the Ironbound Workshop, It is going to be an intense, intimate experience, with a lot of one on one time with two amazing photographers. I urge anyone that is thinking about wanting to attend to submit an application, we have extended the deadline to October 4th. Donna has a real passion for Newark, she knows the police and community activists. Each photographer participating in the workshop will have real assignments within the community to document what will be a book about Newark.

Just spoke to Donna, and her excitement in describing the workshop and her vision of what will come out of it ALMOST makes me want to go awol and attend.
If you’re on the fence about attending, just jump and do so.
They still have a couple of openings……

Anyone attending this workshop or been to one before?I have read the above and it all sounds very good. People got any more info or feedback on it. I am planning to go if funds sort themselves out..

Dana, Well I have always said that you can’t get what you want if you don’t ask… good for you for asking for help. I also wish I could attend and live in Newark with the group. I am sure it will be amazing. I will give Donna 20 bucks toward your fee if you get a ball rolling. Best, Keri
