After 20 years as a commercial photographer, I still love my job. I started out as a kid with a camera in Utah’s red rock wilderness. Later I dogged photographers at the morning newspaper, which led to an after school job.
Since then, my work has included advertising, architecture, corporate and environmental portraits. Outside the studio I’ve taken my camera across the world, from Patagonia to Malaysia and Auckland to the Alps. I’m always on the lookout for beautiful images, new concepts, and big trout.
Personal experience informs my favorite style: a documentary feel, natural light, shots with soul. My commercial approach is versatile, collaborative, and efficient. This produces strategic images that deliver results. And that gets great buzz from clients: "It’s like your in my brain."
Maybe that’s why I love my job.
