Nikon 17-35/2.8 or 17-55/2.8

Looking for any input… ; )

Does anyone have experience using both of these lenses… are there any distinct pro’s and con’s to each that would drive someone one way or the other aside from focal length range?

I shoot directly into the sun very, very often as I use backlighting, silhouetteing in a large portion of my work.

I also will use wide open often…

I will use this lens at the 17-18 area 75% of the time for HCB style street work… and wide angle portraiture. No landscape, nature, etc ever.

Appreciate any insight.
