Ex-politician, strategic scientist and businessman, turned photographer in 2001. South African by birth, New Zealander by citizenship, Australian by choice – and citizen of the world. I have a wide variety of photographic and journalistic interests but I have a special interest in conflict reporting, social commentary and the exposure of injustice.

I am deliberately politically incorrect – I call it the way I see it.

Like Don McCullin, I believe that photographs tell the truth if the camera is in the hands of a truthful person.
