FYI Digital Railroad archive owners – there are some updates just out:

Updated Rights-Managed Licensing

Your archive’s price request/release feature has been updated with a new usage matrix based on the PLUS Coalition standard. Using cascading menus, photo buyers can now enter complete usage details when requesting Rights-Managed (RM) images from you. You can do the same when releasing images. Learn more
Self-Checkout for Marketplace RM Images

In DRR.NET Marketplace, photo buyers can now automatically purchase RM images using a new price calculator. The calculator uses the same PLUS usage matrix that’s now available in your archive’s request/release feature.

We use Marketplace to test-drive new features, and launching this calculator sets the foundation for us to add automated RM pricing to your archive. In the future, you’ll then have the option of allowing photo buyers to self-checkout RM images from your site. Send us your ideas at feedback@drr.net.
Updated Cart

The cart feature has a new look and feel. Photo buyers can use the cart to purchase images from Marketplace and any Digital Railroad-powered archive.

Streamlined Downloads

We’ve made a number of modifications to our site’s download features to make them more visible and user-friendly. To download multiple images, simply select their thumbnails and choose “Download” from the Batch Actions menu. A new pop-up interface will guide you through a two-click process. Your site’s visitors can download the same way; the system will recognize their permissions, giving them access only to the file sizes for which they have permission. Learn more

Search Engine Optimization

Many photo buyers are using Google these days to find their images. To capitalize on this, we’ve made enhancements that will allow search engines to find you and your work more easily. Changes include populating alt tags with your image metadata, putting your group names in page title bars, and other fabulous nerdy stuff.

Marketplace Submission Makeover

Submitting your images to Marketplace is now easier than ever. A new pop-up wizard walks you through a streamlined submission process, with explanations and information at every step of the way. Learn more
Updating RF Pricing

Your archive’s RF pricing feature now allows you to update the prices of images in Marketplace. You no longer need to remove your images from Marketplace before re-pricing them. When applying a new pricing template to images already in Marketplace, you’ll be given the choice of updating the prices in Marketplace, in your archive, or both.
