About

I was born in LA. I grew up in Las Vegas. I went to high school in Texas and Tennessee. And now I am sort of just traveling around looking at things. I have been to Europe a couple of times and South America a few times. I was lucky enough to make it to Africa a couple of times. I have been to Sri Lanka and to Australia and use to work in Switzerland. I have enjoyed my traveling a lot but I feel ready to stay in one place for a few years. I have been in Eugene, Oregon for a couple years now. Oregon is beautiful. Unfortunaltely my camera was stolen so I haven’t really been able to take pictures for the past couple of years. Se la vie.

In search of MF

I have been using my dad’s SLR for about 10 years now. I have enjoyed the experience of having it very much. It has changed my life when I think of it. But the camera, I feel, has betrayed me. I went to Spain and Morocco and I experienced some amazing encounters with this incredible world and I took pictures. But when I returned to the USA I developed the pictures only to realize the shutter on the camera was stuck. I know now to check the camera between rolls but I also feel that the 35mm can only take me so far and I want to change my routine of taking pictures. I feel limited in a way.

I want to take more pictures of people the SLR is a bit confrontational. Maybe I am just stupid but I think the Twin Reflex will be a good change and experience and my impression is that it is less confrontational. It dosen’t feel like you are shooting someone in the face with something.

So I am open to any suggestions that any of you might have as to what Medium Format Twin Reflex camera would be a good one to invest in. Please feel free to comment on anypart of this post. Thanks
