8 years ago with one manual focus camera, and no formal photographic training Edouard set out into the world, with the hope and aspirations of becoming a Photojournalist. What transpired is a remarkable story and chain of events set forth by passion, drive and luck allowing him to live and document some of the most memorable moments of the last half decade. From his first story covering Elian Gonzalez on the streets of Miami, to ground combat in the alleys of Iraq. NASCARS Victory Lane to climbing the granite walls of Yosemite National Park or Hurricane ravaged U.S. Gulf Coast, Edouards Images are fueled by the simple premise that all things are indeed photographable, but capturing them with heart…will yield extraordinary results. His work has been exhibited at 209 Elizabeth Gallery NYC, Viridian Washington D.C., Housing Works NYC,and is part of the permanent photography collection of The Museum of Fine Arts Houston under the curation of Anne Wilkes Tucker. His photographs have appeared in publications such as GQ Magazine, Time, PDN Online, The Wall Street Journal,International Herald Tribune,Newsweek, USA Today,The Chicago Tribune and on award winning broadcast programs to include CNN’s American Morning, Anderson Cooper 360, Newsnight with Aaron Brown, CBS Sunday Morning, NBC’s Today Show, and Nightly News with Brian Williams. Edouard is regular contributor to the Associated Press and Bloomberg News Global photo reports and has worked for NFL, The History Channel,and U.S. Department of Defense. His first book contribution is to the Conde Nast Publications-GQ Magazine project This is Our War: A Soldiers Portfolio. This hardcover 224 page, 256 color photo collaborative taken by service members, features a collection of his film and select digital images from the first year of the Iraq conflict, some never before seen.Available in stores nationwide on March 19th 2006. GQ has made a donation to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund in the names of the servicemen and women who contributed to this book . The fund is constructing an advanced training- skills facility at the Brook Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas that will serve military personnel who have been catastrophically disabled during operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as other veterans. Edouards most recent project has turned his focus from behind the lens to in front, as a first time actor and cast member of the new Universal Studios/Paul Greengrass Film, Green Zone starring Matt Damon, Greg Kinnear, Amy Ryan, and Jason Isaacs currently on location in London,England.
