If the focal length works for you this lens is regarded as one of Canons best.
Also works very well with the 1.4x and 2.0x converters. AF is very quick with this lens

Thanks Mark,
About the focal length my idea is to have an intermediate measurement between 70-200mm. Also I am looking for a light lens.
Sergey, Thanks also!
I already saw your photos, you have beautiful landscapes and are good examples of the lens.
Also I think to buy a lens 35mm f/1.4

Wonderful lens. Very sharp.

hmmm. sad memories. this was most surely one of my favourite lenses by far (i think i actually kept it in my bed the first week i bought it!?). someone tried to scare me with a big stick…this lens got in the way. cried the whole way home…boo hoo. buy it. you won’t regret it.

It’s really good. Sold it when I went from Canon to Leica. Now that I am back, tried the 85mm, but ended up selling it and getting this again.
It’s much smaller than the zoom, fit nicely in your left hand. Much lighter, closest focusing distance at 90cm and 1.4m is a huge difference. Huge difference.
And it doesn’t stand out like the 70-200 when you are walking around with it. All I have is the 35L and this, the 35L is about the same size, one rear lens cap shorter. Very nice indeed, get them and you can stop wondering what they are like. You won’t regret it, you are getting the best that Canon has to offer. As the German Architect said,
Less is more.

Thanks for your comments,
I bought the lens and I like so much.
Greetings
Rodrigo
