Emilie received a photojournalism degree from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. She was a photographer and photo editor at USA Today, the Washington Post, and the Washington Post Magazine before starting her own boutique wedding photojournalism business, emilie inc. Emilie is now based in Portland, Maine, and travels across the country photographing weddings and speaking at workshops, and freelancing for editorial publications.
