I am pleased to announce the launch of a new website called Entropy Art at http://www.entropyart.org. This fall I will be starting my MFA program in Photography and Digital Imaging at the Maryland Institute College of Art. Over the course of the next two years i will be working on a thesis project which will culminate in an exhibition at the Baltimore campus.
Entropy Art is a mini-social networking site which I plan to use to document the process of realizing this body of work. It is also designed to create a community centered around this project. The site works just like MySpace or Facebook in that you can create your own profile page, upload images and videos and leave comments on other people’s pages. You can also participate in discussion forums or contribute in any way that you like.
In the future I will be adding tools which will allow you to process your own images with the same software that I am developing to process my own. These resultant images may even become part of the final installation.
For now though, please just take a second to check out the website. Feel free to just browse or click Sign Up to join and create your own page. It’s entirely up to you. There are also a couple of RSS feeds available if you wish to just keep an eye on what is happening with the project.
