Espen Rasmussen is based in Oslo, Norway, as a photojournalist. He is partly working as a Picture Editor in the biggest daily newspaper in Norway, VG, and partly working on documentary projects.
He has received several awards for his work, such as two World Press Photo awards, three prices in POYi, including third prize Magazine Photographer of the Year and several prices in the Norwegian Picture of the Year.
In 2007, he received 60.000 dollars from the Freedom of Expression Foundation to continue on his long term project on IDPs and refugees around the world.
