Hola, Hugo,

Those USB adapters are difficult to find for Macs. I’ve searched for a while and I could only find a good and tested adapter for G4’s. It is manufactured by SMC Networks and they even have a page for Chile with perhaps some local resellers. Here is the link: SMC2208USB/ETH EZ Connect™ Adaptador USB Ethernet 10/100

I hope this helps.

Saludos,

Luis

I bought a very cheap wireless PCI card for my G4 box that works great.  If you want the data drop me a line.

Take care,

you can find them, but mac’s can be pretty moody about ethernet adaptors for USB. i’ve tried to use one on my G4 and my intel based laptop, and both worked, but could be pretty spotty at times.

Maybe buy an Airport Express and use WiFi?

That way you know it’s going to work reliably, easy to share (or not) and would be really convenient in hotels and at home. I just gave my Airport base station to a friend and will be picking up an express in the next few days.

I like Jim’s idea. I keep one in my bag (they’re only the size of an Apple power adapter), and can create an instant wireless network where ever I go. Plug it into one of those short hotel Ethernet cables and you can work sitting on the balcony!
