http://www.lightstalkers.org/giovanna_del_sarto Giovanna Del Sarto was born in Carrara, Italy and moved to England in 1999 after graduating in Foreign Languages and Literature at Universita’ degli Studi di Pisa. Her interest in History of Art and Fine Art practice made her to return to education in 2003. In 2006 she successfully graduated in BA Graphic Fine Art at the University of East London. During her academic years, she developed a genuine passion for documentary and photojournalism photography. Del Sarto has been accepted to the Masters in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at London College of Communications (LCC) for 2008. In the last few years, Del Sarto collaborated with different associations and charities such as Stop the War Coalition, Journal of Art & Art Education, PhotoVoice and Arcola Theatre among others. Her photographic work had been exhibited in Muzeum Vysociny Jihlava, Czech Republic, Viareggio Carnival La Cittadella, Viareggio, Italy and her work is held in the permanent collection at the University of East London. In the last year, Del Sarto undertook an internship as Digital Photography Assistant at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and as Photography Facilitator in a project called Moving Lives for the PhotoVoice charity.
