Developed various video/text installations such as ‘remind me to remember to forget’ and ‘Trying to Count Memories with out Laughter’s Disruption’ as well as other photo-critical examinations into the role of collective memory, identity politics, and the role of the ‘absurd’ in post-modern Middle Eastern history. Received various awards and international fellowships and residency placements including the Vermont Studio Center, and ART OMI New York. Taught, lectured and written in photography and contemporary practice, and initiated well known experimental arts programs including Shatana International Triangle Arts workshop, the video-based Pictures Advocating Change Program, and experimental sound/image labs for youth in Jordan.
