Her multi-disciplinary work has been exhibited in numerous venues. Born in Moscow, Russia, Marina originally studied history at Russian State University. A world traveller, she started drawing and taking photographs before she left for Toronto in 1997 where she began to establish herself as a painter and photographer and involved herself in the Toronto visual arts community. She has produced a body of work that includes drawings and photographic work incorporating cinematic compositions, which embody references to history and mythology. She was co-founder and editor of ARTPOST Toronto (2004). In addition to her professional practice, she has taught workshops in drawing, painting, mixed media and sculpture in private schools and community programs throughout Toronto including in a variety of not-for-profit organizations that service children with financial and social barriers. She has exhibited her work locally and internationally. en-us
