http://www.lightstalkers.org/nigel_amies I've lived in Vientiane since early 2000 and have been based in Asia since 93, including stints in Seoul, Hanoi and Hong Kong. Asia has long been a source of inspiration - photographically, and, well, I was going to say spiritually but I'm not sure that holds as true today as it seemed when I first started traveling in the region in the early 70s. It's a different world now and a whole lot more difficult to move around in these days thanks mainly to OBL and 'the war on terror'. Photographically I focus on longer term projects and other whimsical self assigned concepts that I sometimes manage to exhibit such as in my show at the French Centre in Vientiane in October 07.
