A journey that began as a sports photography internship at a small, local weekly newspaper has recently taken him back to Peru for a photographic essay on religion and ritual in the Andes.

While learning about his roots, David learned Spanish and a few words of the native Quechua of the Puno and Cuzco regions, all the while working on his master's thesis project for the University of Missouri. </> David is currently a photographer and multimedia producer at the Mercury News in San Jose. en-us
