<description>Liang has been a photojournalist with The Straits Times, Singapore's English national broadsheet, after graduating from college in 2004.

He covers local and international news, and has travelled extensively in Asia and the rest of the world. Some of the places he has visited are Morocco, Pakistan, North Korea, and Everest Base Camp.

His work has garnered in-house awards including a Feature Picture of the Year for 2008. He also won an IFRA award for Best in Photojournalism in 2008. That year, Liang also participated in the annual Missouri Photo Workshop held in St James, MO.

More than just capturing the decisive moment, Liang feels that photography is about the ability to transpose a feeling into an image. He photographs everyday life in a manner that is ironic, surreal, innocent or just plain funny.

He also loves watching movies and seeking new culinary experiences with his wife.

Liang holds an Honors degree in Communication Studies from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is currently pursuing his Masters in Journalism at Columbia University in New York City, where he specializes in Digital Media.
