<description>As a young photographer, Paul began his career by taking pictures of his mates riding BMX bikes for cycling magazines in Melbourne. Years later his interest steered toward social documentary and reportage. He became friends with freelance photographers Emmanuel Santos and Hwa Goh in St Kilda who continue to be a mentor and refine his vision.

In 2006, Paul began a street series &#8216;Metropolis&#8217; in Melbourne and continued to scour the city in search of moments that depict the urban life and landscape. In contrast, he started documenting the working lives of farmers around regional Victoria in 2007.

After working as a freelance photographer in London for two years, Paul is now based in Melbourne for the time being, specializing in news and current affairs, multimedia features, corporate and portrait imagery.

Editorial work has appeared in publications such as The Times London, The Sun, The Guardian, The Sunday Age, The Sydney Morning Herald Good Weekend Magazine, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.
