http://www.lightstalkers.org/nicole_franco Nicole Franco is a San Francisco based photographer and documentary filmmaker. She is a recent graduate from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. While in school, she participated in the Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Project with photographer Colin Finlay and as a contributing participant in both a group and solo exhibition. Recent film projects are in affiliation with the Cancer, Awareness, Research and Education (C.A.R.E) program at San Francisco General Hospital and the San Francisco Arab Cultural Community Center. Through film and photography, Nicole explores social and political conflict revealed through personal narratives. Recent achievements include, 2007 grant recipient from the Avon Foundation to continue work with San Francisco general Hospital C.A.R.E program, recognition in the 2007 Paris Px3 Competition and honorable mentions in the 2006 and 2005 International Photography Awards.
