He emigrated to England in 1981, and he lives in Brighton, East Sussex with his wife and two children. Early in his career he studied and practice Naval Architecture and is now a freelance photographer and part time photography lecturer at University College Falmouth and University of Brighton from where he was awarded a Master of Arts in 1995. His work has been exhibited in the UK and abroad, and published in books and magazines.
