He already won various awards, including the prestigious Asia Media Awards 2008 (best in photojournalism and second place in “spot news category”), the Foreign Correspondents Club of Thailand 2007 Photojournalism Contest (first place and third place “Spot news category”), the Foreign Correspondents Club of Thailand 2008 (first place in environment category) and the Foreign Correspondents Club of Thailand 2009 (first place in Spot News Category) He also won first place on single photos in the Delegation of the European Union to the Philippines photo contest on climate change in 2008, and honorable mention in the Lente Awards 2008. Escandor received the Photographer of the Year and Photo of the Year Awards in the US-Philippine Military exercises photo contest 2009/Balikatan. He also received honorable mention for Outstanding Feature on Youth and Education in the Lasallian Scholarum Awards 2009.
