Since 1994 he has been a regular visitor to Latin America working in 18 countries in the region. Covering the ongoing conflict in Colombia has been a long term project. Images from this work in progress won him a POYi award in the 60th annual contest and resulted in Jason being invited to join World Picture News as one of their original contract photographers in 2002. He remained associated with WpN until the end of 2008. Since then Jason has covered stories in Afghanistan, Egypt, China, Jamaica, Lebanon, Thailand, Burma and Indonesia. He spent more than 13 months between December 2003 until February 2005 covering post invasion Iraq. During these visits; he worked on assignments for: The New York Times, Newsweek, Le Figaro Magazine, USA Today, The Guardian and Observer, Daily and Sunday Telegraph, Times of London, Telegraph Magazine, The Independent and Independent on Sunday, Rolling Stone, US News and World Report, People, Marie Claire, Daily Mail and San Francisco Chronicle. His work has also appeared in such publications as TIME, The Sunday Times Magazine and newspaper, Arena, GQ, Esquire, Contrabando, SEMANA, Dazed and Confused, MAX, Newlook, Epsilon, New York Magazine, FHM, La Repubblica, The Sunday Herald, The Daily Express, Le Monde, El Tiempo, O Estado de Sao Paulo, De Morgen, The Johannesburg Times, Panorama, Expressen, Flair, LAW, YOU and the FT Magazine. Jason relocated to Afghanistan in April 2007 and has been covering stories throughout the country since then. Jason was honoured with screenings of his completed project on Colombia at the 19th Annual Festival of Photojournalism 'VISA Pour L'Image 2007' in Perpignan, France and the 11th Annual Photojournalism Festival in the City of Gijon, Spain.
