    <description>I was born on October 19, 1972, at Santiago, Chile, in the middle of a dying socialist govermment, wich marked a madness followed by a total repression against the opositors of the new military govermment. I saw in the photography a great passion, ended parcialy during his enrollment as journalism student in the private Bernardo O*Higgins University.  In 1993, I joined to La Tercera neewspaper -the largest newspaper in Chile with a national circulation- as a crime reporter. After one year, I was assigned to night shift as a crime reporter too. In 1999, I was named Night Shift Editor. Four years later, was named Sunday Edition editor, position that he left in February of 2004 to enroll as a photographer and writer (spanish service) for United Press International (UPI), in Baghdad, Irak. I stayed during four months in Irak, shooting pictures in cities like Baghdad, Fallujah and Najef. Also worked as a freelance for the chilean newspaper, a norway magazine, BBC Mundo (columnist) and photographer for EFE, spanish news agency. My work has been published in Newsweek (en Espa&#241;ol), Stern Magazine (Germany), New York Post, L.A. Times, London Times and the magazines and newspapers in Chile. I am a photographer for Polaris, based in New York, USA. Also, a contributor for BBC Mundo and teacher in the two private colleges in Chile.</description>
