<description>As freelance photographer, Nicolas Villaume is specialized in social and portrait photography. He works with various international cultural institutions such as UNESCO, or with documentary media like Magazine Grands Reportages, incorporating his strong comitment and his sensibility on human relationships by using the powerful combination of image and sound. His work has been published in international medias like Mother Jones, The Boston Globe, The Week...
Deeply concerned by the cultural diversity, its richness but also its fragility, he has created and developped the association Conversations with the world, with the aim to preserve and disseminate the world&#226;&#8364;&#8482;s oral traditions in peril of extinction, in order to make new generations concious of their ancestral clutural legacy.

He has co-created the NGO- Living Cultural Storybases and is currently leading the South American missions. LCS goal is to nurture the oral heritage of minority cultures in a digital world, by balancing two approaches: social and technical. And recently he is working on a project about indigenous voices on climate change.
