<description>The Australian PhotoJournalist is the official journal of the Australian Photojournalists Association and is published through Griffith University's, Queensland College of Art. The journal seeks to address issues affecting journalists but more specifically photojournalists. Previous editions have addressed the issues of journalistic intention, methodologies, the position of the press and the future of our discipline.

The magazine, which is illustrated with the works of significant writers, journalists (photo and text) and academics, seeks to confront the tired notions inherent in our medium and applaud our successes. In 1994, the first issue of the journal was published and each successive edition has seen an improvement in content, design and print quality culminating with our latest edition Tell My Story.

The Australian Photojournalist is about making a difference. Our mission is to produce a magazine that is not only a testament to the unquestionable calibre of our discipline, but also casts a critical eye on global journalism and mass media practices.
