His work appears in The Washington Post, The New York Times. USA Today, The Wall Street Journal and his photos are carried by Bloomberg News, Getty Images and Zumma Press. He also produces images for local and national ad campaigns. Jay’s focus is on editorial, commercial and fine art photography. His personal, self-documentary-style fine art photography has been exhibited in national juried shows and in local galleries. Jay has completed two books on children’s book author/illustrator Tasha Tudor. He is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers, Society for Photographic Education and Virginia News Photographers Association. He has taught photography courses and speaks to photography and school groups.
