    <description>Graduating with highest distinction from the Danish School of Journalism in 2005, David joined the Danish daily Ekstra Bladet as a staff photographer before devoting himself to reportage and feature work as a freelancer. His long-term project documenting a young Danish woman involved with drugs and prostitution has earned him international prestige as the winner of two World Press Photo prizes (2005 and 2006) and The Ian Parry Scholarship (2004). David is also the recipient of three awards in Pictures of the Year (POYi) and three in Best of Photojournalism (BOP/NPPA) as well as being featured on PDN30&#8217;s list of international talents. David is currently based in Bangkok and represented by Getty Images Reportage.
His work has appeared in Sunday Times Magazine, GQ, Liberation, STERN, Paris Match, COLORS, The New Yorker, NEWSWEEK and TIME Magazine.</description>
