    <description>Tracey Shelton is a multimedia reporter from Australia currently working in Syria as a correspondent for Global Post. After five years as photographer, reporter and later photo editor of the Phnom Penh Post in Cambodia, she worked as a freelance correspondent in the Middle East region for Global Post, TIME and the European Press Photo Agency before settling in Iraq in early 2010.
In her first year as photo editor the Phnom Penh Post photo team received The Society of Publishers in Asia award for Excellence in News Photography and a bronze in cross media from the World Assoc of Newspapers-IFRA.
Her coverage of Libya in 2011 received an Overseas Press Club Award and her videography contributed toward a Peabody Award for Global Post's On Location series.
She recently held a successful photo exhibition at the Phnom Penh Foreign Correspondents Club as a charity event for Sunrise Children&#8217;s Village, a Cambodian orphanage she has been involved with for over a decade. Her book documenting the daily life of the children at the center titled We Can Be&#8230; was released at the Sydney Opera House in October 2009.
