Rahima (b. 1980) is photographically interested in the everyday aspects of our existence, with a particular interest in the family dynamic and the notion of home. Since graduating from The Queensland College of Art, she has worked in Brisbane, Melbourne, Beijing and Outer Mongolia, with experience in documenting community theatre productions, events, and festivals. Her work has appeared in Frankie, Beijing Today, and various community newspapers.

Rahima more recently went to Beijing, on a Australia China Council artist residency where she photographed the streets and the lives of three families. She will return there in 2008 to continue the project in Xinjiang and Xining, along with covering the Olympics in Beijing in August. She is currently working on a project that encompasses the Chinese Diaspora in Melbourne.
