I was born in 1971 and I started my professional career as a photographer in 1995 in the daily newspaper "Diário de Notícias". After that I worked in weekly "Expresso" for five and a half years, for whom I covered political, sporting, social and conflict issues, like East Timor crisis and Guinea-Bissau civil war.

In 2000 I joined travel magazine "Volta ao Mundo" as photographer and Picture Editor. During the five years working there I shot features about places like New Zealand, Panama, Mozambique, Brazil, Spain, Dubai, Thailand and Cape Verde.

In April 2005 I left the magazine to give my attention to 4SEE agency, where I am one of the founders.

Since May 2006 I'm the Official Photographer of The Portuguese President Mr. Cavaco Silva.
