Retro memorabilia, pirate hats, fur coats, old trophies, vintage cameras, boas, backdrops, toy buses, pilfered glasses from pubs... Now primarily a studio shooter, I cut my teeth in photography by curating at an art gallery and working as a published photojournalist before working at a large advertising photography firm. I now focus on conceptual shoots involving the use of artist work for commercial and editorial applications. I am mostly technically-oriented in creating shoots and spend most of the pre-shoot time talent scouting, producing and lighting. I am known to doing a MacGyver on my lighting tools, and use everything from custom made grids, reflectors, gobos and scrims to produce unique effects. My most recent reflector adaptation involves a domestic rice cooker.
