    <description>Tommaso Protti (b.1986) is an Italian freelance photographer. His keen interest in social problems and geopolitics led him to getting a degree in Political Science at the University of Roma Tre and then into photography. In 2011 he accomplished an MA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography at the London College of Communication.
His works focus on social, humanitarian and environmental issues and his long term project, started in 2010, investigates the exploitation of the water resources by Turkey in the Southeastern Anatolia. This work labeled Turkish Blue Gold has been awarded at the Foto8 summer show 2012, the IPA International Photography Award 2012, the Organ Vida International Photography Festival 2012, and two first prizes at the Fotoleggendo 2012 and Portfolio Italia 2012.
Tommaso is currently part of the Emerging Talent program at Getty Images and he is based in London.</description>
