    <description>Born in Kosovo in 1981, arrived in France in 1992. After a photography school in Paris, she decided to first strengthen her technical knowledge and worked for different photo laboratories in Paris for 5 years witch brought her to start her career in Kosovo by working for the daily newspaper &#226;&#8364;&#339;Express&#226;&#8364;*. She was the picture editor in &#226;&#8364;&#339;Lajm&#226;&#8364;* daily newspaper in Prishtina/Kosovo.With the practice done in the daily work Flaka managed to develop and start cooperating with foreign photo agencies such as Gamma and Cosmos. On the mean time she cooperated with United Nations magazine &#226;&#8364;&#339;Focus Kosovo&#226;&#8364;* and was accredited to follow the United Nations Security Council visit to Kosovo. Flaka was the official photographer during the electoral campaign of the present Kosovo prime minister Hashim Thaqi and covered the Independence day events for the government of Kosovo. She had regular publications in &#226;&#8364;&#339;Le Monde&#226;&#8364;* and other publications in &#226;&#8364;&#339;Der Spiegel&#226;&#8364;*, &#226;&#8364;&#339;The Guardian&#226;&#8364;*, &#226;&#8364;&#339;Mariane&#226;&#8364;*, &#226;&#8364;&#339;Le Journal du Dimanche&#226;&#8364;* and contributed to Spanish Documentary Photo Magazine &#226;&#8364;&#339;Ojo De Pez&#226;&#8364;* with her long term project on the Povery in Kosovo. In 2007 she was a nominee for the &#226;&#8364;&#339;All Roads Programme&#226;&#8364;* of the National Geographic.
