Since 1998 he has been working as a freelance editorial and reportage photographer. He has been published in GEO, Stern, Stern.de, Der Spiegel, Focus, Chrismon plus, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Die Zeit, Financial Times Deutschland, taz, Newsweek, de Volkskrant, de Gelderlander, The Times 2, The Sunday Telegraph, Money Week, Dagens Næringsliv and The Fader F2 Magazin. Pictures stories have taken him to Russia, Kazachstan, Indonesia, Cuba and around Europe. He has worked also for clients like KPMG, Deutsche Post or Tchibo and Non Government Organisations (NGOs) like Christian Aid and Attac. From 2000 until 2003 he was a member of Journalistenbüro Spot.
