http://www.lightstalkers.org/nickrain Nick Rain, 41, a British photographer took up photography while in Thailand shooting Thai hill tribes in 1986. His work has focused on human issues in Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Laos, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Borneo, Indonesia, Rwanda, Sudan, Mexico, Thailand and other countries. Nick's work has been published in the Aera magazine, The Asia Times, Asahigraph, Geo, Gendai, The Royal Geographical, Sekai magazine, Survival International, among others. His work has been exhibited at the FCCT - Bangkok in 1998. Also in the Nikon Salon, Tokyo 1999, entitled ' Free from Fear'. Nick has been contributing to many of the United Nations umbrella Organizations, including Oxfam, the ILO (International Labor Organization), ESCAP, UNDCP, IPEC, UNIFEM, UNICEF, FAO , and Plan International. Nick has photographed and designed several exhibitions for the UN. The latest entitled 'The Future? Despair or Hope' is an exhibition on the trafficking of children & women. Nick has published two books titled ‘Penan, Borneo’s Hunters & Gatherer’s and 'The Work of Giants - Rebuilding Cambodia’s roads'. His latest Exhibition was in England 2005 entitled Survivors.
