French Thai Translator

Project postponed until may :

small documentary film crew still looks for a witty, smart french translator for Northern Thailand. If you can speak northern dialect, it’s even more perfect. The job is paid. We need someone very available and implicated in the project. 1 month shooting between may and july.

there is a couple of people who you could contact for translator's, Thai - English no problem, but french - Thai a little harder, but I have a very good friend called Arnaud Dubus a french journalist he would be my first port of call <arnauddubus@yahoo.com>if you're still having problem then it's the old Alliance Francaise in BKK, they would be able help you. All the best. Patrick

Yes Arnaud would be a good lead. Pomonti, former Le Monde correspondent, Philippe Abdelkhafi, journalist and Thierry Falise, photographer, might be good leads as well. I'll private e-mail you their address.

Re: French Thai Translator

Thanks you, both of you, for those informations! Hi John! Bien eu ton message.
It's true that French-Thai is not easy to find. But on very deep and clever reflections, nights without sleep etc, it appears to me that my english is too poor and my head too small to translate thai to french passing through english!
And the very real reason is that I want to meet and discuss with the person who could be the translator before leaving. I'm sure you both know very well the unpleasant effects a bad relation with your translator or assistant can have on your job!...
I'll let you know the end of my adventures!
Good luck in Rangoon and especially in nowhere which is, no doubt, the most beautiful destination.

Re: French Thai Translator

Hi everybody! It might be interesting for you. I've met two young women speaking perfect french thai and english, well-knowing the two cultures and rock'n roll enough to travel in any conditions (they just don't drive very well...) My problem now is to choose the one whith who I'll go in Lampang!
I'll let you know if I took the right decision.
Anyway, if you need translator, fixer for your work, they could be the one.
