Perche' l'Italia e' un Paese troppo ricco dove la gente ha perso memoria di come hanno vissuto i nostri padri. E' dentro il tuo cuore che devi cercare. Non e' la vista del sangue nella polvere che ti rende piu' sensibile, ma la fatica, le privazioni, le storie della vita degli altri quando ti rendi conto che magari hanno la faccia come la tua ma sono figli di un dio minore. Andare a "cercarti" tanto lontano, come dove gli uomini si sparano addosso, sarebbe una fuga in avanti e una cecita' intrinseca. Non ci sono forse emarginati in Italia, senzatetto, gente che ha fame, un prossimo che ha bisogno? Il reportage di guerra lascialo a chi si droga di adrenalina e odore di cordite, o s'illude di potere cambiare il mondo, o crede che sara' il solo a fotografare il palestinese che rotea la fionda. Per me è stato molto importante sapere il vostro parere, da professionisti ed appassionati (mi auguro). Ho riflettuto un pò, e mi piacerebbe seguire un percorso di crescita stimolante. Lavorare come fotoreporter è solo un mio sogno, nato soprattutto dal fatto che spesso quanto sento parlare di guerra, penso di non rendermi davvero conto di cosa si tratti. Avete ragione quando mi dite che anche girandomi attorno posso trovare sicuramente situazioni degradanti analoghe, ma la guerra, credo sia la guerra.
